As one of the first major running events of the year, Frankfurt Mainova Half Marathon starts in the midst of March and is definitely one of the running highlights of the spring. 10,000 starters will line up at the start on March 16, 2025 and ensure that the Frankfurt Half Marathon will once again be one of the biggest of its kind (in Germany) in 2025. In recent years, the half marathon has enjoyed great popularity, as for many it is a great training test after the winter break, for others it is the result of a good resolution, while others already have it on their calendar as part of the race season! Btw. it’s sold out already, crazy!

Not only, it’s one of the biggest half marathons, it’s also one of the first big German races of the year. Perfect timing for a fitness check after off season, right? Also: the finish line in Frankfurt’s iconic Waldstadion aka Deutsche Bank Park is pretty exciting and impressive. Especially when the ranks are filled with spectators!

The route of the Mainova Frankfurt Half Marathon

It starts next to the Deutsche Bank Park aka the old “Waldstadion”, into the city forest and through Sachsenhausen. A particular highlight here is Schweizer Platz, which has provided an excellent atmosphere along the course in recent years! The route continues to the Main, along the riverbank for a while and back to the city forest via Schwanheim. The big highlight of the Frankfurt half marathon is the finish, as the finish line is located next to the lawn of the Waldstadion - an impressive sight, especially when the spectator stands have filled up!

Registration for the Frankfurt Mainova Half Marathon

The Frankfurt Half Marathon will take place on 16.03.2025 at Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt am Main and currently you can still register regularly via the website of the organizers. We just heard it’s already sold out so you might wanna try your luck via raffles or eBay Kleinanzeigen.
